Like your v. useful script.  I've found, however, that it needs
 "| sort | uniq"
at the end of the $file= line in order to avoid duplication with the
BBC's podcast files
(e.g.
http://downloads.bbc.co.uk/rmhttp/downloadtrial/radio4/inourtime/rss.xml).
